I’m Manami.

Manami Inoue is an art director, graphic designer, and Co-Representative of Troublemakers Publishing based in Tokyo, Japan.

She started her career in branding for local businesses and has been involved in creating brands in a wide range of areas such as lifestyle brands, interiors, food, local communities, jewelry, and fashion all over Japan.

With a focus on words and storytelling, she excels at translating the thoughts and intentions of authors and brands into visual language. She is exploring how design can contribute to gender equality and a better society.

ローカルビジネスのブランディングからキャリアをスタートし、日本各地のライフスタイルブランド、インテリア、フード、地域、ジュエリー、ファッションなど幅広い領域においてブランドづくりに携わる。

言葉とストーリーを大切にしたデザインを心がけ、著者やブランドの思考や想いをビジュアルに翻訳することに焦点を当てている。ジェンダーイコールな社会を目指してデザインができることを探求中。

2021年よりスローメディアLobsterrにアートディレクターとして参加。2024年に出版スタジオTroublemakers Publishingを設立し、同年にインディペンデントマガジン『Troublemakers』を創刊。訳書に『デザインはみんなのもの』（Troublemakers Publishing）がある。
